We are pleased to announce that Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope Foundation has a new board member, Dr. Roger Packer, MD.  Dr Packer is the Director of the Brain Tumor Institute and has honored us with becoming one of our board members.  Dr. Packer will be able to keep the foundation informed of what the institutes needs are so that

we will be able to plan fundraisers  to help them reach their goals.  Dr. Packer’s bio is way too long to list, it would take the entire newsletter.  Dr. Packer has helped our family so much in the last couple of years (along will many other families); the foundation is privileged that we will be able to help him and other families through his work.

We are planning a 5K run/walk March 29, 2008.  This will hopefully be the start of a yearly fundraiser that we will have.  The United States Air Force Academy has been kind enough to let us use the base for this event.  Runners will start by the Falcon Stadium, run down along side the road

and circle around to end back at the stadium.  There will be plaques given to the first place winners of men’s, woman’s and youth.  Small trophies for second and third place of the same divisions.  All participants will receive a race packet that will include a tee shirt and there will be a drawing

for gifts donated from local merchants.  We are currently working on getting sponsors and everything set up.  All proceeds will be going to the Brain Tumor Institute.  We are hoping for a really good turn-out for our first race.
